My approach

I am a solution driven, practically minded person.  I believe that you are the best person to determine what is right for you, and I will endeavour to do my best to help you achieve that.

Separation is never easy for anyone, but I will strive to make the process as simple and easy as possible.  Together we can craft practical and sensible solutions to achieve an outcome that you are happy with, allowing you to move forward with your life.

My qualifications

I have a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Crime, Justice and Criminology and a Graduate Certificate of Dispute Resolution.  I hold a current practicing certificate in Queensland and am on the High Court Register of Practitioners.  I am a member of the Queensland Law Society and Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland.

I love my job and I strive to learn new things every day to assist my clients. I have 13 years of legal experience across a wide range of areas; private practice, a number of in-house roles for companies, and in the community legal sector in both Victoria and Queensland. Most recently I was a senior lawyer in a not-for-profit community legal centre in Toowoomba.

Whilst I have a broad knowledge base, Family Law and Family and Domestic Violence are my preferred areas of practice.  I am passionate about helping to protect women, men and children who are experiencing domestic and family violence.  I am a Board Member of the Domestic Violence Action Centre (DVAC – Toowoomba and Ipswich) and I also work causally with the Faculty of Law at the University of Southern Queensland.

I practice what I preach

I really love being with, working with, and communicating with people.  I often remind my clients that communication is key (even after separation) and I constantly remind myself the same thing.  I am a passionate advocate for ending violence in relationships and take all action I can to assist with preventing it, and to help people access the legal advice and services they need.  I regularly participate in the Run Against Violence virtual run, to raise awareness of the impacts of Family and Domestic Violence in the community.

I live in Toowoomba with my family, two dogs, two cats and other array of animals.
